treeworshipper1. What do you like about your style?Style? Don't know if I have one, but I guess I like that a lot of my stuff is somewhat goofy.
2. Which is the most popular deviation in your gallery? The winner, for most views, favorites, and comments, is the Barack Obama mask:
[link] Why do you think people like it so much? Well, there was this election recently, and I imagine it came up a lot in searches by both fans and critics. And it seems to appeal to both.
What do YOU like about it?I earned $150 for five hours' work, that's what. Plus I got to see it plastered on newspapers all over the city.
3. Pick one of your least popular deviations. What are the things you like about it, despite the lack of popularity? My short story about a boy who could eat erasers and his jealous brother:
[link]Hey, short stories can be art too! I'm sure I read that somewhere. Anyway, I like it because it made me chuckle when I came up with it, and the only reason I came up with it in the first place was because Mez was hogging the computer when I wanted on, but then I realized I had nothing important to do if I did get on. So I sketched out the idea of the story in my head when I asked myself, "If I did get online right now, what would I write about?" Absence of something is the mother of something something I forget how the rest goes.
4. Which is your favorite picture, concept- or idea-wise? Would you ever revisit this idea and try to make a new picture based on it again? My pinball table for use inside a self-promotional CD:
[link]Was trying to think of a good CD case design in class, and I was also dreaming wistfully of visiting the pinball museum in Lyons, Colorado, when I realized that a pinball table fit the dimensions of a trifold CD rather well. Would I use it again? I would love to make another fake pinball table... perhaps one more thematically organized this time.
5. Do you have a favorite quickie? What are the things you like about it?Well this was superquick:
[link]Just doodling at work. I think he's adorable.
6. Do you have a favorite piece that involved tons of time and effort?I suppose my Lego man:
[link]Jesus that little bastard took forever. Well, twenty to twenty-five hours computer time. This was the second time I tried using gradient meshes, and dammit, I think I did a good job.
7. Lastly, pick your top favorite image in your gallery. (If you picked this picture in any of the previous answers, please pick the next favorite or something.) Why do you like it so much?My self-portrait:
[link]I like it because it's me and I rule. Actually, I like it because I took a class project one or two steps further than was required, because it reminds me of the old childrens' menus at Denny's (which was my intent), and because the hair came out awesome.
I think that's enough self-worship for the day. Now you try.
